PEARL Initiative CIC is pleased to announce that we have been awarded £14,650 from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver a new community-based project titled PEARL Outreach: Empowering Health and Wellbeing Through Community.

The project will run for one year, from 12 January 2026 to 11 January 2027, and will support women, young people, men, and families living in Highfields and St Matthews, Leicester. The programme is designed to strengthen wellbeing, build confidence, and reduce social isolation through accessible, community-led activities.

Planned activities include peer-led wellbeing and resilience workshops, creative sessions using art, drama and storytelling, women’s health awareness sessions, youth leadership and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)-inspired activities, and signposting support for families facing cost-of-living pressures.

PEARL Outreach aims to create safe, inclusive and culturally responsive spaces where community members can connect, share experiences, and access information and support that promotes positive health and wellbeing. Working in partnership with local venues and trusted community organisations, the project will prioritise engagement with individuals and families who often face barriers to accessing mainstream services.

We are sincerely grateful to National Lottery players, whose contributions make this work possible, and to The National Lottery Community Fund for their support and confidence in PEARL Initiative CIC. We look forward to sharing updates on the project’s progress and impact as delivery begins.
